Goals and revenue

Tie every notification to the sales it helps close

Set a goal with the URL your customers reach when they buy or sign up, and the value of each completion. ProveSource counts every conversion, the ones where a visitor engaged with a notification on the way, and the revenue behind both.

  • Conversions and revenue for every goal
  • ProveSource conversions: completions after a hover or click on a notification
  • Conversion share and conversion rate, compared over time
  • Share of goal for each notification, so you know which one pulls its weight
  • Track goals by URL or with provesrc.trackGoal() in your own code

Analytics questions

What is an engaged visitor?
A unique visitor who saw at least one of your notifications in the selected period. Engagement rate is engaged visitors divided by all visitors.
How does ProveSource count a conversion?
Create a goal with a final URL (or track it in code with provesrc.trackGoal) and a value. Every completion is counted, and it counts as a ProveSource conversion when the visitor hovered or clicked a notification on the way. A goal counts once per visitor every 7 days.
Do bots count toward my plan's visitor limit?
No. Traffic we detect as automated is shown as Bots and left out of your visitor count.
How up to date are the numbers?
Views, hovers, clicks and visitors are written about once a minute, so the dashboard is close to live. Days are counted in UTC.
Can I export my analytics?
Yes. Analytics exports a CSV with one row per day (visitors, bots, engaged visitors, impressions, hovers and clicks), and Goals exports a CSV per goal and notification.
Why does the breakdown start on a certain date?
Device, country, operating system, browser and page breakdowns are recorded from the day they were enabled for your account, and the dashboard shows that date. Daily totals go back further.
Can I see the numbers in Google Analytics too?
Yes. Turn on Google Analytics, Mixpanel or Amplitude under Settings, or add your Segment write key, and notification events are sent there as they happen.
